The Rumble Museum

The Rumble Museum

The Rumble Museum is the only school-based, Arts Council accredited museum in the country. It is very Cheney and entwined into every element of school life, creating unique and enriching experiences for all Cheney pupils. Learning whilst surrounded by a museum is an offering no other school provides, and we are incredibly proud of this.

There are fascinating artefacts spread across the school; we have everything from neolithic tools to modern day brain surgery instruments, from collections of World War One letters to East African musical instruments. We have a particular specialism in the ancient world. Beyond the exhibits, the Museum hosts wild and wonderful festivals and events, which create extraordinary opportunities for the students and the wider community - we’ve hosted moth night, the history of toys, fire juggling, owls, stargazing and emojis - this is a museum for everyone!

How could your donation to the Rumble Museum help?

£5 per month will buy a replica artefact to use in lessons to deepen and enrich understanding of a topic.

£15 per month will pay for a museum workshop run by professional curators.

£30 per month will purchase museum display boards to enliven and educate in a school corridor or classroom.

£50 information boards for artefacts

If you'd like to support our aspirational target, £2000 will fund a mosaics project representing the diverse wildlife at Cheney!
