Greening Cheney

Cheney Friends have been leading the 'Greening Cheney' campaign for the past 5 years, raising funds to improve outside spaces around the school site. This has completely transformed the school!

We are extremely grateful for every donation and, on behalf of the Cheney Community, we thank you for your generosity. By supporting the Greening Cheney initiative, you are helping to transform the urban courtyards of our school into pleasant, green spaces, which encourage friendship, wildlife and wellbeing. These will be enjoyed by current and future generations of Cheney students, staff, carers and parents.

How could your donation to Greening Cheney help?

£5 will purchase replacement hose and tap fittings 

£15 will help to add some colour to the school site with flowering bulbs 

£30 per month would purchase a hedge or tree pack, compost and weed matting

£50 could purchase a semi-mature tree

If you'd like to support our aspirational target, we're aiming to raise £80,000 to complete phase 4 of the Greening Cheney project - the installation of a new rain garden in Ford Block courtyard. This will add seating and beauty, whilst also reducing flooding on site!
