Oxford Young Sport Leaders Programme
BackWe're delighted to share that twelve of our Year 8 students recently participated in the Oxford Young Sport Leaders Programme run by the Oxford SDG Impact Lab. The students attended four sports leader sessions over the course of June and July and competed in the PowerHouse Games, set up by the Power2Inspire initiative. We're incredibly proud of how much they've grown through this experience and the positive impact that they have made.

Here is a summary of the programme from one of the students who participated.
“This programme has been a programme I’m very glad that I was a part of. Whether it was in a talk learning about Formula 1 safety features, in the rain playing American football or out in the sun rowing on the river. My favourite thing we did, however, was athletics on the same track Roger Bannister ran the four minute mile on. A thing this has helped me think about is potentially having some kind of career in sports. It also helped me have confidence interacting with new people around me which is also a very good skill to have. This was a great experience and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.”
Also a special thank you to those who participated from Sir Mo Farah himself.
