International Women in Engineering Oxford Brookes

On Monday 23rd June, a group of 20 students from years 7, 8 and 9 visited Oxford Brookes University to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2025.

During the event, students had the exciting opportunity to meet and interact with Formula One drivers Vanina Ickc and Marta Garcia. They took part in hands-on workshops exploring the role of science, maths, and engineering in Formula One. The day also included a behind-the-scenes look at how a Formula One car is built, with students getting the chance to handle real components used in racing.
