Cheney People - Keyaan, year 10

Cheney People is where we introduce members of our Cheney community, and celebrate their achievements. 

We recently spoke with Keyaan in year 10 who has set up the Young Carers Group at Cheney and is embarking on a 100 foot charity abseil down Dorchester Abbey this Sunday 2nd May 2026 for the local charity Be Free Young Carers! A young carer is someone under 18 who provides support or care for a family member with disability, long-term illness, mental health issue, or substance misuse problem, offering practical or emotional support that goes beyond what’s expected of a child their age.
