Year 10 work experience 2025
BackAs year 10 get dressed up for Mock Interview Day this Friday, here is what some of them got up to over work experience week in May.
Amongst others, we had students working at University College, City Academy, the barbers, Ignite Sport, Blenheim Palace, Boots, Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, Cheney, Windmill and Headington Nursery schools.
Here’s just a selection of the fantastic feedback we had from employers:
Seif at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons
“Seif started off quite shy but he is a fast learner and is attentive of our guests’ needs. We have seen his confidence grow through the week.”
Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons
“He’s getting on very well. He is on time everyday and has the ability to work on tasks with detail, concentration and independently when needed.”
Blenheim Palace
“Always got their tasks done in good time. All students have been punctual and have worked really well. We were really proud of how hard they have all been working especially as there are so many of them here on their work experience week than usual.”
One student was even offered a job once she turns 16!
Boots
“All seem to have done really well and have enjoyed themselves - the biggest skill they seem to all have learnt was patience! “
Windmill Primary School
“How wonderful all of the work experiences students have been. Their conduct and team work has been fantastic and they have been very pleasant, happy students to have. They are certainly a credit to your school.”
Headington Nursery Foundation School
“Thinking for herself and supporting Nigel and Andrew beautifully. She has been a delight to work with.”
“It turned out that he was an excellent D&T technician. He worked really hard, again thinking for himself, using his initiative and being a delight to work with. We did pay him in lots of cups of tea, but I think he deserves any extra praise that you can give him.”
Cheney Design and Technology
Macie set up a salon in Cheney Extra for her Work Experience week, with staff and students making appointments to come and have their nails done!
Congratulations All!
